Jud is a third generation farmer. His Papaw has raised pigs, cattle, and even managed a pepper station in LaRue County. His Mom and Dad created Lee’s Garden Center in the 90s. So, when Jud returned to the farm after graduating from WKU, he began brainstorming ways to make his impact on farming in LaRue County. He took his experience of growing vegetables and raising animals and envisioned a way to provide those farm fresh products to families in our area. This is how Cedar Valley Farms was created in 2016.

Over the last seven years, our CSA program has evolved to meet the needs of our farm members. We offer weekly payment options, home and business deliveries in three counties, partnerships with farms from across the state to offer a variety of farm products, and even have an online store so our members can choose the exact products that they want (think Walmart pickup, but directly from your local Kentucky farmer).

Cedar Valley Farm’s 2023 CSA Season will begin in June this year and continue for 18 consecutive weeks!

Community Supported Agriculture: Traditional CSA vs. Cedar Valley Farms CSA

In a traditional CSA model, farmers offer a number of shares from their farm, interested customers purchase a share, and in return receive a weekly box of farm fresh products. Payment is typically expected at the beginning of the season as farm members buy into the rewards and risks of the farm. Although this model works great for farmers across the country, Jud wanted to make sure that our farm member families had options: weekly payments and the option to skip weeks if needed!

Delivery
We now deliver all of our orders directly to our customers' doorsteps each Friday during the growing season - June through September. We make bi-weekly deliveries during the off season - October through May. There are no pickup locations or waiting around for your farm fresh products. Each and every order is hand packed and delivered directly to you!

Payment Options

Farm members can opt to pay for the CSA season in full before the season begins or weekly upon delivery. You order will not be processed for payment until it has been delivered to your door!

Subscribe & Save
Have you ever subscribed and saved to a product on Amazon? If so, we now offer the same service to our local farm fresh products. You can subscribe to any of our farm products on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly order and save 5% on each order! You also have the option to skip subscription weeks and edit your items as needed!

Produce varieties in all of our shares depend on the season, so you will definitely see sweet corn in the summer months but not in the early spring. Take a look at our Facebook & Instagram Pages - Cedar Valley Farms CSA - to see past pictures of farm share boxes!
