Homemade Hamburger Buns
If you haven't noticed from our social media stories Abby is an avid baker. One reason she likes to bake so much is because of what can be found in store-bought breads, buns, and biscuits. When you can't pronounce most of the words on the ingredient list something probably needs to change.

  • (1 Cup) Milk
  • (3/4 Cup) Water
  • (1/2 Cup) Melted Butter
  • (3 TBS) Honey
  • (1 TSP) Salt
  • (2 Cups) All Purpose Flour
  • (2 TBS) Instant Dry Yeast


  1. Heat Together 100-105F 1 Cup of Milk, 3/4 Cup of Water, 1/2 Cup of Melted Butter, 3 TBS of Honey, and 1 TBS of Salt.
  2. Add 2 TBS of Instant Dry Yeast. ( Let set until it foams 3-5 minutes)
  3. Add 2 Cups of All Purpose Flour. ( Mix well, Until nice and smooth)
  4. Add 3-4 more Cups of Flour
  5. Knead well for 5-8 minutes adding sprinkles of flour as needed.
  6. cover tightly in a bowl and allow to rise for 10 minutes.
  7. Roll our dough, 1/2 inch thick, and cut out with a wide-mouth jar lid. Put each circle of dough on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet, just barely touching. Allow to rise for 30 minutes, bake at 375f for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Optional: brush with butter and add sesame seeds.
  9. Optional: Use half whole wheat flour.
